Mefenamic acid is primarily indicated for:
- Mild to moderate acute pain: Typically for no more than one week (7 days). This includes headaches, dental pain, and muscle aches.
- Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea): Treatment typically begins at the onset of pain and bleeding and continues for only 2 to 3 days per cycle.
